Most notably Trevin helped attract North America’s first Chinese vehicle manufacturer to California, integrated cannabis legalization into the City of Lancaster’s municipal code, introduced a 50-year Smart Growth strategy, and supported a municipal, predictive analytics program in partnership with Google X/Alphabet Inc.

Richard Vaughn

Richard serves as the Economic Development Manager for Monterey County where he oversees a number of economic development efforts. He has extensive experience in business retention, attraction, expansion, marketing, foreign direct investment and international trade efforts. With more than 8 years of experience, he works closely with public and private industry to bring capital investment, job creation and greater economic opportunities to Monterey County. Mr. Vaughn received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and his Masters in Public Administration from California State University San Bernardino.

Josh Metz

Josh serves as the Executive Director of the Central Coast Marketing Team (CCMT), under contract through Regional Government Services Authority. CCMT is a regional public-private collaboration (501 c 3 public-benefit corporation) focused on business recruitment and site location assistance. In this role, Josh coordinates marketing and outreach activities for the CCMT member jurisdictions, and serves as a key point of contact for regional site location interests. Prior to the CCMT role, Josh served the Monterey Bay region as the Fort Ord Reuse Authority (FORA) Economic Development Manager then Executive Officer, supporting completion of key Fort Ord base reuse programs including economic development, planning, habitat conservation, building removal bond financing and capital improvements. In these roles, Josh is a key member of the FORA leadership team providing internal staff management and mentorship, while providing staff support to 23 member Board of Directors comprised of elected leaders from 8 cities, County, State & Federal jurisdictions along with the California State University, University of California, US Army, and other regional agencies. Josh holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from UC Berkeley.

Andy Myrick

Andrew Myrick, CEcD, EDFP, has been working with the City of Salinas for more than 18 years, with the last eight years in Economic Development.  Prior to this, he spent five years as the manager of the Salinas Valley Enterprise Zone, a regional economic development organization spanning the Salinas Valley, where he worked on various initiatives supporting the Salinas Valley region, including support of the establishment of a California Welcome Center, creation of a regional Business Retention and Expansion Program, provision of regional business attraction tools, and working to provide services from the Small Business Development Center in cities through the Salinas Valley. During this time he served as a Board Member with the California Association of Enterprise Zones and was Co-Chair of the Government Affairs Committee with that organization. He also has several years of experience in urban planning and land use.

Mr. Myrick is recognized as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) by the International Economic Development Council, and as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) by the National Development Council. He possesses a B.A. in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego and an M.S. in Applied Economics and Finance from UC Santa Cruz.
