Arts Council for Monterey County

The Arts Council for Monterey County provides promotional, technical and financial support to over fifty arts organizations thanks to funding from the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

California Coastal Rural Development Corporation

California Coastal Rural Development Corporation (Cal Coastal) is a California chartered nonprofit public-benefit corporation servicing the financial needs of small businesses and farmers. The corporation provides direct loans and loan guarantees to businesses located on the Central Coast through their offices located in Salinas and Santa Maria.

California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) Institute for Innovation and Economic Development

The Institute for Innovation and Economic Development at California State University Monterey Bay provides a venue for innovative ideas, support for commercial transfer of research and technology, and a support network and training through a partnership with Monterey County Business Council. The Institute also educates and builds the knowledge and capacity of economic development professionals and enhances the well-being of the region by facilitating the development of long-term economic development strategies.

California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) Small Business Development Center

The CSUMB Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is locally hosted by California State University, Monterey Bay and regionally hosted by the University of California, Merced in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The services provided by the CSUMB SBDC include covering the basics of start-up, marketing a product or service and financing a small business. Other topic specific workshops are offered as community needs are assessed.

City of Marina Economic Development

The Economic Development Division serves the City of Marina through a variety of cost effective, timely and professional services regarding business retention and attraction and grant research and writing relating to economic development. In addition, the Economic Development Division coordinator serves as lead staff for the Economic Development Commission and together, they develop goals and priority economic development projects for the success of Marina businesses.

City of Seaside Community & Economic Development

Community and Economic Development works to stimulate economic growth in the City of Seaside by attracting new businesses and encouraging growth and prosperity for the existing establishments.

Monterey County Business Council Competitive Clusters Initiative (C2)

Launched in 2003, C2 is a joint effort between the Monterey County Business Council and the County of Monterey, and emphasizes collaboration with key members of the private sector to formulate strategies that support and enhance the competitiveness of Monterey County’s main industry clusters — in order to stimulate job creation and strategic infrastructure improvements, while achieving overall economic sustainability.

Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau

The MCCVB supports Monterey County’s tourism and travel industry through a comprehensive range of services. For its members, including businesses in the lodging, hospitality, entertainment and recreation industry, the MCCVB provides many opportunities for advertising and marketing, whether on its website, www.seemonterey.com or through its annual visitor guide, at sales events, and other organized events.

Monterey County Film Commission

The Film Commission is a non-profit organization proactively marketing Monterey County as a destination for the motion picture, television, and related industries, for the purpose of stimulating economic development, creating jobs, and providing and supporting educational opportunities in these areas.

Santa Cruz County Business Council

The Santa Cruz County Business Council (SCCBC) is a privately funded 501(c)6 non-profit organization. Founded in 1996 to provide a collective voice for countywide business owners and executives, SCCBC boasts over sixty-five engaged member organizations from Scotts Valley to Watsonville, and all points in between.

Santa Cruz County Planning Department

The goal of the Planning Department is to provide applicants and members of the public with access to an extensive level of information related to land use and development within the unincorporated area of Santa Cruz County.
