California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) Institute for Innovation & Economic Development (iiED) 

iiED’s mission is to inspire innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development by offering programs that help stimulate business development as well as job growth in the region.

CSUMB Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is locally hosted by California State University, Monterey Bay and regionally hosted by the University of California, Merced in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).The services provided by the CSUMB SBDC include covering the basics of start-up, marketing a product or service and financing a small business. Other topic specific workshops are offered as community needs are assessed.

Central Coast Angels

Central Coast Angels was founded in 2013 by a group of successful entrepreneurs who share a love for the California Central Coast region and a vision of increased opportunity for the people who live here.  We provide early-stage financing to innovative companies who are building businesses located in the region.

Digital NEST

Digital NEST provides youth and young adults ages 12-24 with free access to computers, software, Wi-Fi, and a full range of state-of-the-art digital tools and classes. Modeled after successful tech companies that inspire creativity and innovation, Digital NEST is a safe and learning-focused workspace for young people. Through training, collaboration, and professional mentorship, young people master the technological skills they need to pursue higher education, launch careers, and join businesses in our community.

Opportunity Fund

Opportunity Fund is a not-for-profit social enterprise helping thousands of California families build financial stability. Our strategy combines microloans for small businesses, microsavings accounts, and community real estate financing. Now California’s leading microfinance provider, Opportunity Fund began based on the idea that small amounts of money and financial advice could help people make permanent and lasting change to improve their own lives. Since making our first loan in 1995, our team has deployed $297 million into our communities.
